to the development of new interconnect technologies, conventional tooling
as screwdrivers and cutters are not sufficient to attach a connector
to a cable or circuit board.
In order to support the application of connectors, Föhrenbach Application
Tooling provides dedicated manufacturing processes and services to OEM's
and their subcontractors.
By means of Föhrenbach Application Tooling, customers obtain a significant cost reduction and zero-defect quality.
A significant cost reduction is realized by means of a perfect match between the depreciation of the tooling, the related output capacity and the involved labor. As such, Föhrenbach Application Tooling always provides the following levels of automation: handtools, semi-automatic machines and fully automated processes. Also the flexibility of this equipment contributes to a significant cost reduction.

zero-defect quality is obtained by means of in-process control systems.
As such, the machines measure and maintain quality during production.
The recorded production and process figures can be applied in SPC (Statistic
Process Control). Also the level of automation affect the output quality.
Föhrenbach Application Tooling provides both Application Tooling
for cable and board applications and supports as such the following interconnect
technologies: IDC, press-fit, direct attach, crimp, flex and fiber optic.
All Application Tools are designed by dedicated specialists. In order to provide a maximum flexibility towards our customers, the Föhrenbach Application Tooling masters all the required design disciplines as mechanical design, software design, electrical design, motion, vision, styling, ergonomy… Service Engineers provide preventive maintenance and emergency break down service.
