What is Press-fit ?
It is an alternative to solder the connectors on a board. The
pins of a press-fit connector have a special compliant zone at the end. When the
compliant pin is pressed into a hole of a pcb, it will make excellent
electrical contact and has a lot of mechanical advantages compared to soldering.
Which Press-fit press should I choose ?
The selection of the
right Press-fit connector assembly equipment does not only depends of the
maximum insert force of the press, but also of the volume of boards you need to produce, the type
